Jeff Maddux
founded vinformativ in 2007 to provide innovative and collaborative
technology solutions to the wine industry. Jeff's extensive information
technology experience gives him a unique perspective of the challenges faced
by todays wine industry businesses.
BIO
In 2005, Jeff received an Advanced Certificate from the Wine & Spirit
Education Trust, London, England. To gain an insiders view of the issues and challenges involved in running
a small winery, and to learn to make wine, Jeff worked as a harvest/lab
intern for Peterson Winery in Dry Creek Valley during the harvest of 2005. In 2006, Jeff was instrumental in helping to establish the Petaluma Gap
Winegrowers Alliance and was honored to serve as its first
President/Executive Director. Jeff is currently a member of its Board of
Directors and serves as its Treasurer and Membership director. In 2008, Jeff participated as a judge for the 7th annual Pinot Noir
Shootout and the Cal-Aussie Shootout. Jeff is certified as an Environmental Management Systems provisional auditor and participated in several audits
for the Lodi Rules for Sustainable Winegrowing program. As an amateur winemaker, Jeff produces 65+ cases of cool-climate Petaluma
Gap Syrah each vintage. His first vintage, 2006, received a silver medal
from the Sonoma County Harvest fair.
